Waiver Wire FAQ
What is the fantasy football waiver wire?
The waiver wire is the pool of players not currently on any roster in your league. You can add these players to your team, usually at the cost of a waiver priority or a free-agent claim. Players trending up in adds are the best signals of who to target.
When do fantasy football waivers process?
Most leagues run waivers on Tuesday or Wednesday morning, clearing for free-agent pickups after Thursday. Always check your league settings — some leagues use rolling waivers (FAAB or priority-based), others use free agency after an initial claim period.
How are these waiver rankings calculated?
Rankings are based on 24-hour add volume across thousands of Sleeper leagues. A sudden spike in adds is the strongest signal the fantasy community has identified a real opportunity — often triggered by an injury, breakout game, or depth chart change.
Should I drop a player to add a waiver target?
Only drop a player if the waiver target has a clearer path to production. Prioritize players with a starting role, a favorable schedule over the next 3–4 weeks, and rising target or carry share. Don't overreact to a single-game spike.
